Our parachute equipment

The parachute used by PGH is the American MC1-1C.  This parachute has compared to other parachute systems a relatively large diameter. This results in a slow rate of descent and soft landings.  The openings in the canopy are called modifications. They are intended to make this parachute maneuverable. After some practice they are quit steerable. The MC1-1C parachute is used in combination with a T10 R type reserve parachute.  All our parachute equipment  meets the national and international safety standards.  The parachutes are all checked and maintained by PGH's own certified and trained members and an official rigger.
